Det kommer inte bli speciellt svårt för den partyhungriga att finna roliga gatufester. Under karnivalen bjuder nämligen Rio de Janeiro på 600 olika blocos (gatufestaer) att välja bland. Det finns olika typer av blocos, allt ifrån Salvador inspirerade Axé till gayvänliga GLS blocos. Man kommer garanterat att ha kul var man än råkar hamna!

To make stuff easier during the carnival there is a good site called Wikirio that are able to orient you through the ocean of opportunities. This page is admittedly in Portuguese, but with some help from Google translator I couldn't imagine there will be any problem to translate what you might consider most important. First to fourth of March, the samba schools in the various dive suspensions will paraded ( desfilar ) in the arena – Sambódromo which is like a huge catwalk. The price of admission varies with where you want to sit. Tickets can be bought here and there in the city and are also sold outside Sambódromo.
For you party animals there will not be particularly difficult for the to find parties in the streets. During the carnival offers the city of Rio de Janeiro 600 different blocos (block parties) to choose from.
